EVENTS!
The weekend's events would not be possible without hundreds of volunteers who donate their time and energy.
It's a spectacular feat by the foundation staff to put on this huge event.
FACES!
ROUND THINGS!
The namesake for the foundation that puts on the event is the
Orange Show
A folkart palace created
by Jeff McKissack to
celebrate the orange.
WHEELS!
COOL STUFF!
Our fearless leader
Jan Elftmann
joined Shelly Burshar's Pink Slip crew and managed to advertise our
ArtCarParade event with
strategically placed
buttons.
HEADLIGHTS!
Cars come from all over the U.S. and even Canada to be in this event.
I think I heard that 21 states were represented this year.
MORE FACES!
Performance Artist
Julie O'Baoighill
was a very visible and entertaining member of our Minnesota contingent.
A record 8 people came down from MN this year.
Houston boasts
the world's only
ArtCar Museum
which features art exhibits of all sorts and some classics of the artcar world.
